It’s you and it’s me.

That we’re peas in a pod — no, not the rumors that we’re gay.

But if we were, well, that would be alright.
It certainly wouldn’t change any of our movie marathon nights.
But in truth, we’re simply the best of friends.
Through thick or thin, season or series end.

And I would love to host a morning talk show with you.
And I would love to ride a claymation train with you.
And I would love to travel through space and time with you.
Because all those things mean I get to spend my time with you.

So we lead these crazy lives,
full of lows but also limitless highs.
And blanket forts to keep us safe,
to keep us still together and guarded from change

That must come, it always does.
But what will be doesn’t replace what was.
So we stand and we handshake.
Keep a tight grip on our taco filled briefcase.
